SignFX is proud to work alongside Maynard Design on the Hiwa Recreation Centre at Waipapa Taumata Rau – the University of Auckland, where signage played a vital role in expressing Māori Mana Whenua culture.

From in-house design production to final install, we delivered a range of detailed signage solutions, including tukutuku-inspired graphic overlays, interpretive panels, glass frosting, precision-cut acrylic lettering, and complex glass applications.

Every element was carefully crafted to support Maynard’s vision and honour the cultural narrative embedded in the space.

This project demonstrates how signage can extend beyond its functional purpose,  helping to tell stories, connect communities, and welcome all who enter.
